Benchmarking Lead's training against the SCQF
In 2007 Lead Scotland was part of a Learning Link Scotland pilot group with the Glasgow ESOL forum, Volunteer Development Scotland and Learning Link Scotland staff. The group considered ways by which voluntary sector organisations can engage with the process of level and credit rating training.
What does this mean?
It means measuring our training alongside other qualifications in Scotland. This would enable volunteers to see where we have pitched the training. The way we do this is by benchmarking our training against the Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework. It has 12 levels and all the qualifications in Scotland can be found within these 12 levels.
Why might we do this?
Over one third of current Lead volunteers tell us on their application for that they are looking for experience for their CV.
Please download further information gathered from an online survey which volunteers were invited to complete. This shows some of the benefits and challenges.
We are keen for all volunteers to learn, develop and share experiences through their volunteering with Lead.
