Information Service
Lead Scotland Information Service:
Information and advice for disabled learners and carers
Are you a disabled learner or a disabled person thinking of taking up a learning opportunity?
Do you need advice on behalf of a disabled person?
Our Information Service can provide you with the information, advice and guidance you need to access inclusive learning opportunities. We can provide the following free services to disabled learners and those who support them:
Freephone helpline and e-mail enquiry service
Signposting to other sources of support
Our Information Service is an invaluable resource for all disabled learners, and covers a wide range of learning opportunities, including:
- community learning opportunities and volunteering
- further education courses
- higher education courses (at college or university)
- postgraduate courses
- training and apprenticeships
- short courses
Although this service is available to all disabled people, our resources are more likely to be relevant for people aged over 16 due to the different nature of learning opportunities. For children and young people aged under 16, we can refer you to other sources of support.
