There are many different options for fundraising and here are a few ideas that people have already successfully tried.

Organise a quiz night: a great way to raise funds whilst having fun night out. Choose a venue, prizes, quiz master and you are ready to go. We can help you promote it to encourage more people to come.

Hold a dress up or dress down day with friends or at work. This is an easy way to raise money without too much work. All you will need to do is pick a date, make sure people know about it and decide on a costume if you choose to dress up!

Run a jumble sale, car boot sale or cake stall: If you have a lot of stuff you never use which could go to a loving home a jumble or car boot sale is a great way to do this. You could get a stall at a car-boot sale and get rid of all the stuff taking up space gathering dust. Or if baking is more your thing a few of you could have a bake off and sell your wares instead.

Get sponsored: There are so many different options now that there’s bound to be something to suit you. Whether you set yourself a physical challenge or do something which scares you you’re bound to enjoy yourself and feel a great sense of achievement. Sponsored cycles, runs, walks, wheelchair race, bunjee jump, or maybe a sponsored silence?

Night In: What could be easier? Raise money for a good cause whilst spending a night with friends. All you need to do is invite your friend round, order pizza and a DVD and any extra money which would have been spent on a night out is instead donated to charity.

Any questions, contact us and we’ll be delighted to help!

How your support helps us

Donations we receive enable us to provide:

  • our freephone national helpline across Scotland
  • a network of frontline services for disabled people and carers
  • up to date ICT equipment to loan to learners
  • volunteer training to support our network of volunteers

With your help and support Lead Scotland aims to make sure that marginalised disabled people and carers can become lifelong learners, employees and active citizens which benefits families and communities across Scotland.
