Photo competition

We are having a photo competition, open to everyone! We want to make some noise about young people and adults and show lots of ways by which learning transforms lives.  So please grab your mobile phone, your tablet or your camera and get snapping!

Learners quote, before I found technology baffling and frightening, it increased my confidence Darlene and Amy sitting in a kitchen

Closing date: 28th April 2017.  There will be prizes in each category.  Judges decision by 16th June 2017.

What should I take a photo of?

We have 5 categories for photos to get your creative juices flowing. Please do make sure you have the permission of people in the photo.

  • Learning at home
  • Learning in the community
  • Learning digital skills
  • Learning as a family
  • Overcoming barriers to learn

The judges will be looking for photos that make them think, make them feel, are creative, tell a story, show skills.

How many photos and where do I send them?

One photo per category, so no more than five in total please.

Please email your entry or entries to enquiries@lead.org.uk. Maximum file size 1400 by 1050 pixels or 2 mb. Please email your photo through as a jpeg file. The judging process will assume that the images are in sRGB colour space. If you are not sure what any of this means, just email your photos through or contact us for a quick chat.

What will happen to my photos?

Please keep a copy of your original photos.  The photos are yours and you have the copyright, but we may show them on social media channels and our website so that people will support our work.  We won’t share the photos and we won’t sell them. We want more people to hear about our work so that we can reach more disabled people and carers. We will use some photos on our website and publicity, to help more people support Lead Scotland.

Judges decisions will be final.

Happy snapping and good luck!
