Aberdeenshire – Adult Learning

What can the project offer me or someone I am working with?

Aberdeenshire Learning Project works with adults over 16, resident in Aberdeenshire, who identify as disabled or a carer, to access learning opportunities and overcome any barriers they might be facing. We can support you with:

  • your personal learning plan to achieve your goals
  • improving confidence, reading, writing and number skills
  • developing your computer and digital skills
  • achieving Core Skill qualifications
  • Gaining an SCQF accredited Adult Achievement Award

We have a great team of volunteers who can support learners one to one. We also offer support to small groups at local accessible community venues. Our services are free, person centred and confidential.

“I am doing SVQ Core Skills in Communication. I have already passed the Level 3 Writing Unit and am now doing the Reading one. This helps me when I’m writing articles for Centre Scene Magazine with the Ellon Editors at Ellon Resource Centre.” Learner Comment. Photo of Learning Coordinator Barbara
