Fundraising for Lead Scotland

Thank you for thinking about fundraising for Lead Scotland. We are here to make this as easy as possible for you and there are plenty of ways you can get involved.

Our fundraisers are ambassadors for the work we do: they uphold our values when fundraising by using common sense, politeness and respect when asking others to donate or take part in activities.

Sponsored Events

Kiltwalk 2020

We want these events to be accessible to everyone, so we are offering a limited amount of FREE places for Kiltwalk, if you can commit to fundraising for us. Contact fundraising@lead.org.uk or call 0131 228 9441 to sign up.

I really enjoyed taking part in the Dundee Kilt Walk last year. There was such a great atmosphere with everyone else taking part in the walk, and it was amazing to see so many different charities represented.

The walk itself is also very picturesque and we had nice weather which also helped to make it even more enjoyable.  It’s a nice flat route so isn’t too difficult to manage even when I was 7 months pregnant! It was a great experience that I would recommend to anyone!”

Loch Ness Marathon, 4th October 2020

This year we have 4 charity places for the Loch Ness Marathon on 4th October 2020, which means we can offer entry for half price, at £35.

Fundraising helps us reach more individuals in more parts of Scotland, so we’re asking runners to commit to fundraising a minimum of £200 in exchange for the reduced entry.

We’ll be there with you every step of the way – we’ll provide a sponsorship pack and t-shirt so you feel supported in training and getting sponsor.

To express an interest and get more information, contact fundraising@lead.org.uk or call us on 0131 228 9441.

Other ways to fundraise for us

Organise a quiz night: a great way to raise funds whilst having fun night out. Choose a venue, prizes, quiz master and you are ready to go. We can help you promote it to encourage more people to come.

Hold a dress up or dress down day with friends or at work. This is an easy way to raise money without too much work. All you will need to do is pick a date, make sure people know about it and decide on a costume if you choose to dress up!

Run a jumble sale, car boot sale or cake stall: If you have a lot of stuff you never use which could go to a loving home a jumble or car boot sale is a great way to do this. You could get a stall at a car-boot sale and get rid of all the stuff taking up space gathering dust. Or if baking is more your thing a few of you could have a bake off and sell your wares instead.

Get sponsored: There are so many different options now that there’s bound to be something to suit you. Whether you set yourself a physical challenge or do something which scares you you’re bound to enjoy yourself and feel a great sense of achievement. Sponsored cycles, runs, walks, wheelchair race, bunjee jump, or maybe a sponsored silence?
