Coronavirus Update Lead Scotland Services

Last updated 05/01/2021, 10.00 am.

Coronavirus carries a high risk of harm. We are continuing to deliver remote services to keep people safe. Please check back to this page for updates about future changes.

  • Our helpline is open as usual.
  • Staff members are remote working by default. Staff offer support by phone, text, email, online and by post. If it is absolutely essential to meet a learner face to face (outside) this will be risk assessed on a case by case basis as an exception.
  • Volunteers are only permitted to offer learning and befriending services remotely for now: by telephone, text, email or online. NO face to face visits with volunteers at the moment.
  • Our IT loan scheme is open.

We supported 538 people with remote services between April and September, which is higher than our usual quarter two average over the last 4 years.

One learner said, “Having experienced Lead Scotland pre COVID and during it I think what you are doing is incredible.” We are doing our best, trying to deliver the best quality services that we can whilst keeping people safe. Thank you for your support.

Please contact your Coordinator about telephone or online support or call us at head office on 0131 228 9441.
