Living wage accreditation

Lead Scotland is very pleased to have become an accredited Living Wage Employer. This means that Lead Scotland voluntarily pays the living wage to all its employees and sub-contractors. The minimum wage, as set by the Government, is at present £7.83 an hour whereas the living wage, the amount calculated on what employees and their families require to live on, is £8.75 an hour.

Lead Scotland CEO Emma Whitelock said, ‘We are delighted to be involved with a movement of thousands of organisations, businesses and people, across Scotland and the whole of the UK, who believe that a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay.  I am proud of the work and commitment our employees deliver on a daily basis and I believe we owe it to each employee and their families to make sure they have enough to cover their living costs’.
